We know the importance of using video in business. In real estate, video marketing helps customers know, like, and trust you but how do we become more comfortable on camera. In this blog, you will learn 5 tips to help you become comfortable and confident on camera.
TIP 1: BE ENTHUSIASTIC
Its important to know that even when you think you are being enthusiastic the camera dulls it down. So we say before going on camera, 10X your enthusiasm, through the roof. With the camera dulling down your enthusiasm get pumped up before taking the video. It goes against our grain to be that enthusiastic but it works.
TIP 2: SMILE AND BLINK
It does not come naturally to us to think about smiling and blinking as we are sp focused on what we are going to say next. Often by not smiling and blinking you come across as a serial killer and no one wants that. Just lower the press by just thinking about smiling and blinking more and thinking about what you are going to say next, you will actually see the words will come more naturally to you.

TIP 3: THINK OF THE CAMERA AS A FRIEND AND NOT A CAMERA
Put a picture of a friend or family member directly behind the camera. So when you look at the camera it just feels like you are talking to a friend and not a camera. You will find it will lower the pressure and is a great hack to feeling more comfortable in front of the camera.
TIP 4: TRY NOT TO BE PERFECT
This goes against our thinking about what we want for our video. We don't want to stumble we want to hit all of our lines. Now what does that cause? It cause perfectionism. You need to lower the bar and just shot the video. Take the pressure off and just have fun doing it.

TIP 5: PREPARE
This goes without saying, Its not only about getting your script 100%. Maybe for the beginning to get you going but its more about just getting your thoughts out on paper. We suggest having it in point form. So when you are on camera you can just use it as a quick reference and refresher as to what you want to say. You can also over prepare. What often happens is that you start reading line for line and not talking into the camera rather at it. It will come across very robotic.
